Ingredients

3/4 pound pasta shells (about 5 cups)

1 tbsp butter

2 tbsp flour

2 cups milk

2 cups grated cheddar or gruyere

1/8 tsp nutmeg

kosher salt and black pepper

1 16-oz bag of thawed frozen broccoli

Preparation

Preheat broiler. Cook shells according to directions.

Melt butter over medium heat in a sauce pan. Add the flour and stir for 2 minutes. Whisk in milk, stir ocassionaly until thickens, 4-5 minutes.

Add 1 1/2 cups cheese and stir until melted. Add nutmeg, 3/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp peppter.

Add the pasta, broccoli and sauce together. Put in 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and then put in broiler for 3 to 4 minutes.
