Ingredients

5 Tbsp softened butter

1/3 Cup packed brown sugar

1 Cup flour

1/4 Cup chopped pecans

1 8oz soft cream cheese

1/2 Cup sugar

1 egg

2 Tbsp milk

1 Tbsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

In a mixer bowl, beat butter & brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in flour & nuts, (set aside 1 cup of this mixture). Press remaining mixture into a 8x8x2 ungreased pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 12 minutes. Meanwhile, beat together cream cheese, sugar, egg, adding milk lemon juice & vanilla. Mix until creamy. Pour directly over warm baked layer spreading evenly. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup of mixture over the top of cream cheese. Bake in 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. Cool & cut into bars. Store in refrigerator covered.
