Ingredients

8 slices french bread

1/2 pound sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1 onion, sauted

2 2/3 cup milk

1 1/2 pound jack cheese

4 eggs, beaten with mixer

salt & pepper

ham

sausage

1/2 pound mushrooms

Preparation

Butter casserole dish and place 4 slices of bread on bottom. Cover with cheese, then meat. Repeat and top with cheese. Pour egg and milk mixture over the top. Sprinkle with salt & pepper. Let stand at least 4 hours or overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes (covered for first 15 minutes).
