Ingredients

2 16 oz cans refried beans

1 8 oz package cream cheese

1 8 oz package sour cream

15-20 drops tabasco

4 oz taco sauce

1-2 cups chedder cheese (grated)

1-2 cups monteray jack cheese (grated)

Preparation

Cream cream cheese and sour cream in a mixer.

Add tabasco sauce and taco sauce.

Stir in the beans and the cheese by hand. It will get very thick. Add as much cheese as you like (up to 2 cups each), but reserve enough to sprinkle a nice layer on top.

Put in serving casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.

Serve immediately with sturdy tortilla chips for dipping (or assorted crudites if preferred). Or, transfer baked contents to a crock pot to keep heated for a longer time. If desired, provide small plates on the side so that each person can scoop a portion onto the plate.
