Ingredients

1/4 lb butter or margarine, melted

2 C sifted all-purpose flour

1 1/2 tsp salt

1/2 to 1 tsp cayenne pepper

1 lb sharp Cheddar cheese, finely grated

Preparation

Mix butter, flour, salt and pepper. Stir in cheese, blending thoroughly. Place bowl in warm water until dough is pliable. Using a 1/12" ribbon disc, put dough through a cooky press into long ribbons, onto an ungreased baking sheet. Cut strands into 3.5" lengths. Bake at 350º for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned and crisp.
