Ingredients:

1 lb Boneless Skinless Chicken pcs

2 tbsps. Garlic(paste)

2 tbsps. Ginger(paste)

2 tbsps. Chickpea flour (maybe substitued with fine cornmeal)

Salt to taste

4 tbsps. Lime juice

¼ cup Yogurt

5 tbsps. Vegetable Oil

¼ tsp. Turmeric Powder

½ tsp. Red Chili Powder

½ tsp. Cumin powder

(The next four ingredients can be substitued with 1 tsp of good quality Garam Masala)

½ tsp. Black Pepper powder

¼ tsp. Cardamom powder

¼ tsp. Mace powder

¼ tsp. Nutmeg powder

Preparation

Method:

  1. Clean chicken. Cut large pieces to get 24 peices in all.
  2. Whisk yogurt in a large bowl, add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Rub the chicken pieces with this mixture. Keep aside for 3 1/2 hours preferably in the refrigerator. This step can be performed the night before.
  3. Prepare the grill.
  4. Skewer the marinated pieces at least an inch apart.
  5. On a charcoal grill, cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, basting at least once.
  6. Serve with a side salad or a grilled pita/flatbread with a cool cucumber + yogurt sauce.
