Ingredients
Chashu -
2 lbs Pork Belly
1 oz of peeled sliced ginger
6 cloves of garlic
1 tsp salt
1 tbl sugar
3/4 Cup of Soy Sauce
1/2 Cup of Ponzu
1 tbl La-Yu Chili Oil
1 tbl of crushed dried anchovies
Preparation
Cut Pork Belly into (very) roughly 5" by 3" rectangles.
Place pot and fill with water to the top of the pork
Bring to a boil then bring down to a simmer
Add all ingredients EXCEPT Chili Oil.
Simmer for 1 hour
Take all meat out and bake in oven at 400 degrees for 15-17 min (adjust for desired crispiness)
take out, slice into thin pieces and serve
