Ingredients
2 bunches red or green chard
1-2 TBS olive oil
SAUCE:
1/2 Cup seasoned rice vinegar
1/4 Cup honey
4 cloves minced garlic
1/8 - 1/4 tsp cayenne powder
5 TBS dried currents
1/2 tsp salt
pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a small sauce pan, mix vinegar, honey, cloves, cayenne, and salt.
- Cook over medium high heat until reduced by half.
- Add currents and season with pepper to taste.
WHILE SAUCE IS REDUCING, PREPARE SAUCE:
- Slice chard into 2 inch pieces, discarding any stems that are tough and woody.
- Saute chard over medium heat just until wilted and tender, about 8 minutes.
- Pour sauce over chard, stir, and serve
