Ingredients
1 16 ounce bag frozen cauliflower florets
1 egg
2 Tablespoons all purpose flower
1 medium onion
1/2 pinch crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon parsely flakes
Salt and pepper
oil for frying (grapeseed works great)
Preparation
- Add cauliflower florets to boiling, salted water. Cook for 5 minutes. Please note: I have tried to make these with fresh and frozen cauliflower. The frozen florets are FAR superior
- Drain the cauliflower and and coarsely chop in food processer along with onion.
- Place cauliflower and onion puree in bowl. Add egg, flower, salt, pepper, parsely, and red pepper flakes. Stir to mix all the ingredients.
- Pan fry 1 Tablespoon at a time in shallow oil about 3 minutes per side on med-high heat.
- Drain in power towels.
Can be served alone or as a base for appetizers with various sauces, toppings, etc. Fun and delish! Hard to stop eating.
