Ingredients

1 Apple Pie (I use Mrs. Smith’s)

1 bag of caramels

1/2 stick of butter or margarine

1 cup pecan pieces

1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese

1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream

1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp. McCormick Vanilla

flavoring

1 medium tub of Cool Whip

Preparation

Bake Apple Pie according to directions.Put caramels into a double broiler with the 1/2 stick butter over medium heat and stir often until melted. Pour caramels over Apple Pie that has been transferred to a Triffle bowl and broken into pieces with a fork. Add the 3/4 cup pecan pieces to mixture and stir. Mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and sour cream in a bowl until well blended and add to the apple pie mixture. Top with the Cook Whip and garnish with remaining 1/4 cup of pecans.
