Ingredients

4 Eggs

1.5c half-half

1/3c sugar (to taste)

3 tsp vanilla

1/8 tsp allspice

1 1/4 tsp ground cardamon

Six thick slices of Cinnamon Bread (Texas toast thickness)

1.5 Tbsp unsalted butter

Preparation

Heavily butter a9x13 baking dish

Place bread slices in dish

Combine first six ingredients (through cardamon), stiring well to combine.

Pour half of the custard over the bread, flip the bread, and pour over the remainder of the custard.

Cover with plastic and refrigerate overnight.

Remove from fridge, and remove plastic.

Preheat oven to 400–allow the bread to come to room temp while the oven heats

Bake for 10-12 minutes, flip the bread, and bake for an additional ten minutes or under golden and slightly crispy.
