Ingredients

One 64-ounce bottle of clear apple juice (Adam and Eve is very good)

1/3 cup whole green cardamom pods

Apple slices for garnish

Preparation

  1. Pour the juice into a non-reactive saucepan over medium heat. Add the pods and heat for an hour without simmering.
  2. Remove and cool. Pour the juice with the pods, back into the bottle and refrigerate overnight.
  3. To serve, strain into a glass pitcher and pour into a glass filled with ice.
  4. Garnish with a thin slice of apple
