Ingredients
1 pkg of Bacon, cut into chunks
5-6 links of Italian Sausage, crumbled
2-3 cloves Garlic, finely minced
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup heavy cream (or milk)
1 cup grated Parmesean Cheese
1 small jar of green pimento stuffed olives, chopped
Red Pepper Flakes, to taste
Black Pepper, to taste
Nutmeg, a pinch
1 pound of angel hair pasta, cooked according to directions.
Preparation
Put a large pot of water on to boil for the pasta. Don’t cook the pasta until the sauce is ready.
In a heavy botton skillet or casserole,saute bacon until crisp. Remove from pot. Remove all but about 3 tbsp of the bacon fat. Saute the Italian Sausage in the bacon fat. This takes about 10 min. Just before the sausage is done add the garlic and saute until softened and golden brown. At this point, boil the pasta. When the pasta is done, drain it and add it to the sausage in the skillet, mix. Add the egg and cream to the hot pasta. Stir. Add the bacon, cheese, olives, pepper, pepper flakes and nutmeg. Mix thoroughly and serve.
