Ingredients
3 eggs
1/4 cup white sugar
1/8 tsp salt
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
4 tbsp brown sugar
Preparation
Beat 3 eggs. Add white sugar and salt.
Scald milk and stir in slowly to egg mixture. Add vanilla. Beat until well blended.
Place 1 tbsp of brown sugar in the bottom of 4 glass custard dishes. Pour custard over sugar.
Place dishes in pan of hot water. Bake at 325F for one hour.
Allow to cool. Loosen around edge of custard with a knife. Invert custard onto plate/into bowl and serve.
