Ingredients
7 qts of popcorn
1 Cup peanuts
2 Cups brown sugar
1/2 C. white Karo Syrup
1 tsp. salt
1 C. margarine (I prefer to use butter)
Bring these four ingredient to boil and boil 5 minutes
Remove from heat and stir in:
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
Pour over popcorn and peanuts. Stir until coated. Pour on baking sheets and bake @ 250 degrees for one hour. Stirring occasionally. Cool and store in tin or Tupperware container.
You could of course add any kind of nuts you like. Sometimes I use mixed nuts. I stir about every 15 minutes. We have also found that deeper containers work better for baking in the oven so it is easier to stir without it going over the side into the oven.
