Ingredients

1 Box German Chocolate Cake Mix

1.5 Sticks Butter

2/3 Cup Evaporated Milk

1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts

6 oz. Chocolate Chips

14 oz. Caramels

Preparation

  1. Melt butter & 1/3 cup evaporated milk together.

  2. Beat into cake mix.

  3. Add walnuts.

  4. Put 1/2 cake mixture in bottom of greased 7" x 12" pan.

  5. Bake @ 350° for 10 minutes.

  6. Remove from oven & sprinkle with chocolate chips.

  7. Melt caramels with the other 1/3 cup evaporated milk.

  8. Pour over chocolate chips.

  9. Place rest of cake mixture on top (you may have to drop on in dollops, mixture is no longer smooth).

  10. Bake 20-25 minutes longer. Cool & cut into squares.
