cup butter or margarine, softened

cup packed brown sugar

egg

cups all-purpose flour

teaspoon baking soda

1/2

teaspoon salt

box (8 oz) chopped dates (1 1/2 cups)

cup chopped candied green pineapple

1

cup chopped candied red cherries

1 1/2

cups chopped pecans

Preparation

Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg; blend well. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in dates, candied fruit and pecans. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely.
