Ingredients
1 lb carrots, cut into 2 inch pieces
2 tbsp butter, diced
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
pinch salt
pinch black pepper
Preparation
- Bring large pot of water to a boil. Add carrots and reduce heat to a high simmer. Cook about 20 minutes. Do not allow carrots to become mushy. Drain.
- Reduce heat to low and return carrots to pan, stir in butter, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until sugar is bubbly. Serve hot.
