Ingredients

Saute 2 minced cloves of garlic in 1/2 cup of olive oil.

Set aside all but 2 tablespoons of this mixture

Fry 1 cup cubed french bread in the 2 tablespoons of oil

wash dry and break up 2 heads of romaine into a large bowl

sprinkle over the mixture

1 1/2 tablespoons of salt

1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

pinch of pepper

(5 anchovies mashed)

3 tablespoons wine vinegar and the remaining oil

Place 1 egg and the juices of 1 lemon in the bowl and mix well

add cubed bread and 3 tablespoons grated cheese toss serve
