Ingredients
2 garlic cloves minced
1/2 cup olive oil
2 heads romaine lettuce
1 cup french bread cubed
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
5 anchovies mashed
3 tablespoons wine vinegar
1 egg
juice of 1 lemon
3 tablespoons grated cheese
Preparation
Saute 2minced garlic cloves in 1/2 cup of olive oil. Set aside but 2 tablespoons of this mixture.
Fry 1 cup cubed french bread in the 2 tablespoons oil.
Wash dry and break up 2 heads of romaine lettuce into a large bowl.
Sprinkle over the romaine: 1 1/2 teaspoons salt/1/4 teaspoon dry mustard pinch of pepper 5 anchovies mashed 3 tablespoons wine vinegar and the remaining oil.
Place 1 egg and the juice of 1 lemon in the bowl and mix well.
Add cubed bread and 3 tablespoons of grated cheese, toos and serve
