Ingredients

1 head cabbage

1 lb. ground beef

1 roasted red pepper, chopped

1 large onion, chopped

1 tsp. nutmeg

cumin to taste

garlic powder to taste

1/3 rice, uncooked

1/4 c. cold water

2 eggs

1 16 oz. can crushed tomatoes in juice

1 8 oz. can tomato sauce

1 Tb. lemon juice

paprika to taste

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400. Separate cabbage into leaves, blanch, and cool. Combine ground beef, nutmeg, red pepper, onion, garlic, cumin, and garlic powder, rice, water and eggs. Place 1/4 c. meat mix in center of each leaf. Roll up and place seam side down in baking pan.

Make sauce: Mash tomatoes and mix with tomato sauce. Add lemon juice, onion, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Pour over rolls and bake 45 mins-1 hr. Top with sour cream.
