Ingredients

1 medium head of cabbage

1 large onion

1 12 oz. package wide egg noodles

4 TBS butter or margarine

1 tsp. sugar

Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Shred the cabbage Slice the onions thin Melt butter in large skillet Add onions and saute, but do not brown for 5 minutes Add cabbage. Add sugar after cabbage has cooked for about 5 minutes When sugar is blended add salt and pepper to taste. Continue to slowly saute until cabbage and onions are soft, about 20-30 minutes. While cabbage is cooking, cook noodles per package directions, drain and add to cabbage mixture.
