Ingredients
1/2 cup seedless raisins
hot water
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp vanilla
Plain pastry
Preparation
Heat oven to 450 F.
Pour boiling water over raisins, and let stand 5 - 10 minutes. Drain raisins and add to them butter, sugar, salt and corn syrup. Stir until sugar is dissolved and butter melted. Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
Fill pastry lined tart shells 7/8 full. Place on baking sheet. Bake in oven for 15 minutes. The filling should be lightly browned and bubbling.
