Ingredients

1/2 cup bulgur wheat or tabbouleh

1 carrot, grated

1 onion, finely chopped

1/3 cup mushrooms (any mushrooms), finely chopped

1/2 cup firm tofu, grated

1 tablespoon soya sauce

1/2 tablespoon hot sauce

2 tablespoons whole wheat flour salt to taste

Freshly ground black pepper

oil for cooking

Preparation

  1. Clean and wash the Bulgur Wheat thoroughly. Soak it in one cup of hot water for 4 minutes, drain and Keep aside.
  2. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl except the oil and mix well.
  3. Divide the mixture into 8 equal parts and shape into patties.
  4. Grillthe patties on a grill or shallow fry using a little oil in a non-stick pan, cooking on both sides till golden brown in colour.
