Ingredients

About 3 cups of flour (I use Pillsbury as it seems to work the best)

1 cup warm water

1 tablespoon of active yeast

1 tablespoon of sugar

2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil

1/2 teaspoon of sea salt

About 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped

Fresh basil, rolled and chopped

Baby Spinich, chopped

Crumbled Feta Cheese (regular or low fat)

Shredded Provolone Cheese, or “Pizza Cheese”

Preparation

Start by adding the sugar and yeast to the warm water. Put this mixture into your KitchenAid, add half the flour and mix well. Now add the olive oil and salt. Mix well. Slowly add the remaining flour until it forms a nice mound of dough. During the mixing, you may often need to stop the mixer and use a spatula to work some of the flour down into the mixture. Coat a large bowl with some olive oil, put the dough in the bowl, and cover with a dish towel. For best results, let rise for an hour in a slightly warm place. If you dough doesn’t rise, you probably either used cold flour from the fridge, or your water was too hot. Room temperature items will always work best.
