Ingredients
8" X 2" pan
5 1/8 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon bread crumbs
2 large eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
1 ½ cups all purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
1 tablespoon confectioner’s sugar or 1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup milk
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Melt the butter
- Brush cake pan with some melted butter
- Pour bread crumbs in cake pan. Shake it carefully so that the crumbs stick to the sides of the pan
- Beat eggs and sugar in large bowl until the mixture is fluffy
- Combine flour, baking soda, and confectioners’ sugar or vanilla in a small bowl. Stir well with no lumps.
- Blend milk, remaining butter, and combine flour, baking soda, and confectioners’ sugar with the egg and sugar mixture in the large bowl. Mix until smooth
- Pour batter into a cake pan. Bake for 35 minutes. Stick a toothpick in center of cake. If it comes out clean, the cake is done.
- Let the cake sit for 1 hour.
- Please cake facedown on plate. Sprinkle cake with confectioners’ sugar.
