Ingredients

275 grams/10 oz Stone Ground Whole Wheat Flour

175 grams/6 oz all purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

25 grams/1 oz butter melted

25 ml / 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

400 ml/ 1 1/2 cups buttermilk

1 egg

2 tablespoons honey

Preparation

Heat oven to 200c/400f. Mix dry ingredients in large bowl and make a well. In separate bowl whisk wet ingredients. Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients and mix with rubber spatula or hands just until combined, do not over mix. Put in greased loaf pan and cut a slice down the middle or shape into round on a sheet pan or stone and cut a cross in the center and bake 40 - 45 minutes.
