Ingredients

1 1/3 c all purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 c packed brown sugar

1/2 c butter, softened

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 c chopped walnuts

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a 9x13 in pan.
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. In large bowl beat together butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Stir in the flour mixture and the nuts until well blended. Spread evenly in prepared pan. Bake 25-30 min or until surface springs back when gently pressed. Cool slightly. While still warm, cut into bars with a sharp knife.
