Ingredients
1 lb of grated broccoli stems
and 1 large grated carrot
(or a 1 lb bag of store bought broccoli slaw)
1/4 cup mayonnaise (or Nayonnaise)
1/3 cup seasoned rice vinegar
3 T honey
2 t lemon juice
Garlic salt to taste
Freshly grated pepper to taste
Preparation
Put mayonnaise, vinegar, honey, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a large bowl, then add slaw and toss until it’s all covered. Chill, covered, stirring occasionally. The flavors are best melded together by the next day, but it’ll be good after an hour.
Note: This can be made vegan by using soy-based Nayonnaise instead of mayonnaise.
