Ingredients

Dressing:

1 cup mayonnaise

3 Tbl cider vinegar

3 Tbl sugar

Salad:

5-6 cups broccoli florets

1 med Vidalia onion, chopped

3/4 cup raisins

1/2 lb bacon, cooked, crumbled

3/4 cup pecans, coarsely chopped

1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese (optional)

Preparation

  1. Prepare dressing and set aside.
  2. Separate florets. Cut into small bite-size pieces.
  3. Mix broccoli, onion, bacon and raisins. Toss with dressing.
  4. Chill at least 1 hour. For best flavor, refrigerate overnight or up to 24 hours.
  5. When ready to server, mix in pecan pieces. Top with cheese if desired and serve.
