Ingredients
2 lb broccoli
1/2 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/3 c olive oil
1/4 tsp each salt, oregano,
basil
3 large garlic cloves, pressed
\4 tbl red wine vinegar
freshly ground pepper
Preparation
Trim broccoli of stalk ends and leaves and cut into 1 inch pieces steam above water until just tender, then steam mushrooms until barely tender toss vegetables while they are still warm with the oil that has been mixed with salt, herbs and garlic then sprinkle with vinegar and pepper and toss again cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally bring to room temperature before serving
