Ingredients
-1 (3-4 lb) beef brisket
-1 t celery salt
-1 t garlic powder
-1 t onion salt
-1/2 C BBQ sauce
-2 T ketchup
-2 T Worcestershire sauce
-1/2 t liquid smoke
-Heavy-duty aluminum foil
Preparation
- Trim fat from brisket to 1/8-inch thickness
- Combine celery salt, garlic powder and onion salt. Sprinkle and rub evenly into meat
- Stir together BBQ sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke, then brush evenly onto meat
- Wrap brisket in heavy-duty aluminum foil, place in a roasting pan, and chill 8 hours.
- Bake at 300º for 5 hours, then let stand for 10 minutes
- Cut brisket across the grain into thin slices
