Shopping List

1 lb. ground bison

1 large onion, chopped

2-3 jalapenos, seeded and chopped

3 cloves of garlic, chopped

1-15oz can red kidney beans

1-15oz can tomatoes

Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Sour Cream

Crackers

Herbs / Staples

1/2 cup of Shiner Bock (or other beer)

2 tbsp. oil,

4 tsp. chili powder

4 tsp. paprika

1 tsp. cumin

1 tsp. oregano

1/2 tsp. parsley

salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Heat oil in large pot
  2. Add garlic and jalapenos until warm.
  3. Add onions and cook until translucent.
  4. Add bison and cook until no more pink shows.
  5. Add all the other ingredients.
  6. Cook for 30 minutes then move to crock pot.
