Ingredients

1 Package Kielbasa Sausage

1 Jar Sauerkraut

1 Stick Margarine

2 Cups Brown Sugar

2 Small Granny Smith Apples

1/2 White Onion

4 Medium Potatoes

Preparation

  • Peel potatoes.

  • Boil potatoes in large pot for 15 minutes or until tender.

  • Drain potatoes and leave in pot.

  • Cut slices of apples and onion.

  • Melt half a stick of margarine in a pan.

  • Place sauerkraut, apples, and onions in buttered pan.

  • Add brown sugar on top.

  • Mix everything and sautee until sauerkraut is browned and onions clear.

  • When about halfway done, melt the other half of the margarine stick into the sauerkraut mix.

  • Cut kielbasa sausages into small slices.

  • Brown kielbasa slices while sauerkraut mix is sauteeing.

  • Once sauerkraut mix and kielbasa slices are done, mix them all in the pot with the potatoes.

  • Continue cooking entire mix on medium for about 5-10 minutes and mix everything together.
