Ingredients
4 slices bread, any kind
1 lb. bulk sausage meat or links
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese.
6 eggs
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt and dash pepper
Preparation
Tear up 4 slices bread, any kind, and place pieces in greased baking dish (13x9x2") A pretty oven-to-table casserole would be a good choice. Brown and drain 1 lb. bulk sausage meat or links in skillet. Drain off fat. Cut links in slices. Spoon sausage over bread. Sprinkle with 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese. Beat together 6 eggs, 2 cups milk, 1 teaspoon dry mustard, 1 teaspoon salt and dash pepper. Pour over mixture in baking dish. Bake in preheated oven 350° for 35-40 minutes. The cheese will rise to the top during baking.
