Ingredients
3 eggs
1 1/4 c. flour
1 1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp salt
8 slices old bread, cut in 1/2" cubes
Preparation
Mix eggs, flour, milk, salt. Add bread, stir to cover all bread. Let mixture rest of about 15 min. Boil water in large soup pot, wet hands, and shape mixture into small orange size balls. Drop into boiling water for 20-30 min. Test by cutting one open and look inside to see that it is cooked thoroughly.
Drain in collander. Serve with gravy or rolled in buttered breadcrumbs.
